"They call me MoM" Minibook

This is the Minibook that I designed for our May Scrapstasher's Meetings. It was so fun and easy to create! The book features a folded pocket technique which works great to hold decorative journal tags or other photos or momentos... The minibook is compiled of five 12x12 sheets of cardstock. It has been folded and cut to create the pockets.
Here is a quick look at how this is done... First, fold you cardstock in half... Next, fold in half again...
Unfold paper and cut along one folded line to the centerpoint...
Fold diagonally to the outside edge...
Then, fold up to the top left corner...
Run adhesive along the edge to adhere... this creates the pocket. Simply flip page over and do the same to the other side.
This will create a pocket on each side of your paper. Now just fold in half to create your pages for your book...
I also showed the Stashers how to create a couple more beautiful paper flowers. This one I call the Smooshed Cyclone Flower...
The other one is what I call a Windmill Rosette...
Tutorials to come on those later...
Thanks to all who came to the Stasher's Meetings and I hope to see you this month for our next meetings which will be June 6th, 7th and 8th. Four different meetings for you to choose from...and if you haven't heard already...We will be having a PAGE SWAP for our June meetings. You will create and leave with four double page lo's...that's 8 pages ladies!! I also made a change from our last swap and this time around, you will get your OWN papers back. This way you can bring whatever theme or color papers that you want and receive it back as completed lo's. I will design everything, you just come and assemble!
I hope you will make plans to join me! Please contact Anthologies to reserve your seat at (817) 282-2622.
Stay true to your passion -- Keep Creating!

AlpHaBeT SoUp!

Ever wonder what to do with all those random chipboard alpha's you have in your stash??? Well, here is a great project idea to help you use those random letters...even the z's, q's, and x's!!
To create this fun frame, just follow these simple steps. First, paint your frame one solid color. Next, glue your various chipboard letters all over the frame going every which way. Then, paint over the frame and chipboard letters using the same color of paint. This creates the illusion that the letters are actually carved out of the frame. Your final step is to lightly rub over the letters with a distress ink pad and apply a top coat of diamond glaze or clear sealer to give the frame a professional finish. This is such a fun and easy project to create! I hope it inspires you to create with your leftover alphas! Have a wonderful weekend!
