Sizzlin' Summer Open House!

I am so excited about CJ's Summer Open House tonight! I am busy getting everything all packed up and ready to go. If you would like to come...it will be held from 6-8:30pm at the NRHBC 26 Wellness Center. I still have a few more things to do before tonight so I better get off this silly computer and get back to work! Hope to see you tonight!

Scrapstasher's May Project

At our May Scrapstasher's meeting we created this great project using a wood craft frame and scraps of printed papers and buttons, buttons, and yes...more buttons! Instead of using the frame for a picture, we removed the insert and created a heart out of buttons directly onto the glass with glue dots. We then added a rub on sentiment to the glass to finish it off. It is hard to see the full effect in the photo but it truly is stunning when hung on the wall. I was so inspired by the frames that the other Stasher's made! Some created hearts like the sample, but there were also some with crosses, monograms, flowers and even a palm tree and a frog! Great work Stasher's! If you are interested in joining us next month, our June meeting will be held on Tues. 6/9. The morning session will be from 10a-Noon and the evening session from 6:30p-8:30p. You can register online at http://www.cre8joyworkshops.com/ or simply send me an email to hold your spot. Come join us!

Wearable Works of Art!

I want to thank everyone who participated in the Cuttlebug Challenge blog hop this past weekend! I hope you enjoyed all the amazing projects that were featured this weekend as much as I did. One of the projects that I was asked to create was Wearable Art made using Provocraft's Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. Take a look...

These pendants are SO incredibly easy to make and they look amazing! Here are some simple instructions for you to follow:

1. Cut a piece of Ten Seconds Studio art metal into your desired size.
2. Choose a Cuttlebug embossing folder and emboss the art metal.
3. Lightly sand over the embossed design to expose the silver finish.
4. Adhere the metal to a piece of memory glass (Ranger) and place inside of a memory frame (Ranger).
5. I added a bead chain and ...waa laa...I was finished! It's that easy!

You can find the memory frames and glass at most of your local craft stores. I know that Michael's carries them. Consider adding a little bling to your jewelry creations for some added sparkle. I would love to see jewelry that you have created using your Cuttlebug! Please email them to me at cre8joy@sbcglobal.net and I will feauture them on my blog.

Keep it joyful,
Tracy :)

Cuttlebug Challenge -- Relax, Rejuvenate, Be Inspired!

Welcome all Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Hoppers! Finding ways to relax and rejuvenate can be difficult especially in this busy, fast-paced world we live in today. The things I find relaxing are the things I truly enjoy such as scrapbooking, reading a good book, taking a leisurely walk and a long soak in a warm tub always does the trick to help me unwind. I hope you are enjoying the Hop and will be checking the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog throughout the weekend for great project ideas, tutorials, and of course, great chances to win some really awesome prizes! Be sure to collect all the flowers from each Blog and leave a comment to ensure that you are put in the Blog Hop Prize Drawings! The flower you will collect from me is the Bluebonnet. It is the official flower of my home state, Texas.

Your next stop on the Hop will be Jenn K at www.scrappinforlife.blogspot.com.

Happy Hopping,
Tracy :)
